Registrations for the Fall 2026/Spring 2027 is OPEN!

First Day of Games: Mid- to Late August.

Once you have completed registration, please read through your confirmation email thoroughly for information regarding the upcoming season.

Please read before registering for the Recreation Soccer Program:

  • If you are going to tryout for a Competition Soccer Program, DO NOT register for recreation soccer until AFTER you've received your determination letter. 
  • If you are wanting to play with a specific coach or teammate, you will need to indicate this during registration in the field COACH REQUEST and/or TEAMMATE REQUEST fields. while we try to accommodate requests, they are NOT guaranteed.
  • Players may play up an age group, but MAY NOT play down from their respective age groups. If you are wanting to play up, please make sure to indicate YES in the registration form for the question that states, "If needed, my child may play up an age group. I understand that if I indicate NO and the requested coach is moving up, that my player WILL NOT be rostered with the requested coach/team."

FALL 2026/SPRING 2027 REGISTRATION.

West Jordan Youth Soccer’s Recreation Program is designed to provide a fun, inclusive, and development-focused soccer experience for players of all skill levels. Whether your child is new to the game or looking to continue building their skills, our recreation program emphasizes learning, participation, and enjoyment in a positive team environment.

The seasonal year runs from Fall 2026 through Spring 2027 with Spring registration being included in the Fall fees. What this means to you is that there is no need to register for the Spring season. Your child will remain on the same team with the same coach in the Spring as in the Fall. Players will develop fundamental soccer skills, build confidence, and experience the value of teamwork and sportsmanship in a low-pressure, supportive setting.

Program Highlights:

Fun & Player-Focused Environment: Emphasis on enjoyment, learning, and building a love for the game
Skill Development: Focus on basic technical skills such as dribbling, passing, shooting, and game awareness
Balanced Teams: Efforts are made to create evenly matched teams to promote fair and enjoyable play
Weekly Games & Practices: Typically one practice and one game per week during the season totaling 7 games in the Fall and 7 games in the Spring
Volunteer Staff and Coaches: Dedicated parent and community staff and coaches who help create a positive and encouraging experience for all players

Season Structure:

Fall 2026 Season: Runs from mid- to late-August to the first part of October.
Registration opens May 1st through July 15th.
Spring 2027 Season: Runs from early to mid-April through to mid- to late May.
Registration for players joining in the Spring opens December 1st through February 15th

*ANY registration received after July 15, 2026 will be assessed a $25 late fee. No registrations will be accepted after July 22, 2026.*

Program Philosophy: Our Recreation Program prioritizes participation over competition, ensuring every player has the opportunity to play, learn, and grow. Coaches are encouraged to provide equal playing time and rotate players through different positions to support overall development and enjoyment.

West Jordan Youth Soccer is committed to creating a welcoming community environment where players can make friends, stay active, and develop a lifelong love for soccer.
The Fall 2026/Spring 2027 Registration ($140 club fee + $10 UYSA Legacy Field fees+$3 Service Fee). This registration fee includes registration for the Fall AND Spring sessions, the soccer kit (home and away jersey, shorts, and socks), a soccer ball, a team photo (taken in the Spring session), and an end-of-season gift.

  • West Jordan Youth Soccer's seasonal year begins in the Fall and goes through Spring.
    • Teams are not gender specific and are co-ed.
    • Registration for the Fall & Spring sessions opens May 1st and closes July 13th and is $140 for BOTH sessions.
      • WJYS does not offer a Fall Only option.
      •  Any registration following the open registration period will be assessed a $25 late registration fee. WJYS is under no obligation to accept any late registrations.
      • Registration for Spring Only opens December 15th and closes February 9th and is $75.
      • Any registration following the 6-week open registration period will be assessed a $25 late registration fee . Once registration has closed, it will not be reopened and no additional registrations will be accepted.
      • Players who are registered in the Fall do not need to register again in the Spring.
      •  Players will play on the same team in the Spring as they did in the Fall and with the same uniform. In the event that a replacement uniform is needed, there will be a $35 replacement uniform fee.Players may request to play with a specific coach or player but are not guaranteed.
  • The Fall session begins in mid- to late-August and will go into October.
  • The Spring session will start at the beginning of April and run through May.
  • Each Session (Fall and Spring) contains seven (7) games for a total of fourteen (14) games. Games are typically held on Saturdays. Weekday games will occur in the event of a weather cancellation or if there is a need due to the number of teams in an age group.
  • Each team from U5 to U18 will have one practice a week. Practice dates, times, and locations are all determined by each team coach.
  • Team coaches will reach out to the teams following a coach meeting which takes place two to three weeks prior to the first game for each session.
    • Practices for the U4 age group will occur 15-minutes prior to each game.
  • Team and League communications will be done through an app called TeamSnap (available in both the Google Play and Apple App stores). Each player will receive an invitation to join the team on TeamSnap using the email address used to register the player. Additional family members can be added by clicking into your player's TeamSnap profile and clicking on the ADD FAMILY MEMBERS button. If you have multiple players playing in the league or, if your player is on multiple teams, you will need to accept each invite to see each team's details.

When does does registration open?

Registration for Fall/Spring soccer opens May 1 and will close on July 18.
Registration for Spring Only soccer opens December 15 and close February 15.

Any registrations that are accepted following the registration window will be considered late and will receive a $25 late fee.

If registration shows that it's a wait list, enter your player onto the waitlist in their respective age groups. If there is an opening on a team,  your player will receive an "activation from the waitlist" email. Upon receiving this activation/acceptance email, you will have 48-hours to log into your Sports Connect account and make your payment. We are unable to add or roster your player to a team until this registration fee is paid.
